Bart Lindstrom-Portrait Artist

Nationally recognized portrait artist Bart Lindstrom brings remarkable sensitivity and character to his portraits, capturing not only a likeness but the essence of his subjects. Lindstrom is a renowned portrait artist of both adults and children.  His work is in many private and corporate collections and he has exhibited in solo and group shows in galleries and museums across the United States and Canada. His tenure runs deep with his paintings hanging in our State Capitols and Federal courtrooms. Among his prominent collectors are several dignitaries, and  United States senators William Armstrong and the late Jesse Helms, Tennessee Governor Ned McWherter, Roots author Alex Haley, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former Vice President Dan Quayle, and former Secretary of State, General Colin Powell. After beginning his professional career as an artist, he quickly started to specialize in portrait and figurative paintings. As a former board member of the American Society of Portrait Artists, he helped found the Portrait Society of America. Bart continues to travel for his subjects, with a meet and greet, and a preliminary sketch for the goal of making sure all parties are satisfied with his work.  Shuptrine’s creates one-of-a -kind fine framing for his portraits and paintings. He resides in California and Arizona, but travels to Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia and Kentucky continually.  He has lectured and demonstrated at the American Society of Portrait Artists, taught at the Art Students League in New York City, and at the annual Seminars of the Portrait Society of America.
